I'm just holding on for tonight.

Man-Made Sunshine, Conor's solo project

In September, the fall of the year I visited the hometown of Nothing But Thieves, Conor suddenly announced on Twitter that he was going to release songs he wrote during the pandemic since he had a lot of time to reflect on himself.

He said he reflected on the time he was suffering from mental illness and wrote 5 songs that themed healing and self-love.

That surprised me.

Because you know, I knew where exactly he lived during the period.

And he released a video that was shot in Leigh-on-Sea.

I just walked there a few months ago.........

Conor, you were sitting on those benches and seeing the view too…

You left there because you finished writing the songs…? and found your answers…?

There was a piece of your feelings you left in that place…?

About the project Man-Made Sunshine, he said like, “Empathize with your happiness. If you feel it, it's for you, so take it”

“My question is: Do you make your own sunshine?”

He will never know, but this EP became so special to me.

I loved it so much I translated all the songs into Japanese.

It was such a relaxing and calming experience, it felt like meditation.

Conor, thank you for creating such heart touching songs.
