これは脱退したドラマー、スペンサーに捧げた歌だとブレンドンは言っているけれど、聞き手によっては色んな意味にとれる。自分自身との戦いだったり、壊れかけた恋愛関係や親子関係だったり。
ゴスペルとは教会などで人々に愛され、歌われる歌のこと。彼は音楽のことを彼の宗教だと言っている。だから想いを込めたこの曲をゴスペルと名付けたのだろう。
ピアノver.も凄く素敵。
